The Zerorez brand and our reputation for extraordinary customer service has been built over many years through our exceptional franchisees and our basic business philosophy. This Internet Privacy Policy (this “Privacy Policy) describes the information collection, use, and dissemination practices of Zerorez Franchising Systems, Inc. (“Zerorez,” “us,” or the “Company”) and applies to our collection, use, storage and disclosure of information by us on our (a) websites, including all our divisions, subsidiaries, franchises and related companies; and (b) on various third party websites. We are not responsible for the information collection or privacy practices of third party websites or applications. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding this Privacy Policy by contacting us at www.zerorez.com.
GATHERED INFORMATION
Zerorez respects the privacy concerns of our customers and visitors to our website. Typically, websites collect a visitor’s personal information (“personal information” and non-personal information (“non-personal information”). Zerorez does not automatically collect personal information from website visitors. The non-personal information automatically collected from you includes, but is not limited to, information about your Internet service provider, browser type, domain name, IP address, the website that referred you to us, the web pages you request, the date and time of those requests, and entry and exit points. We may also collect the URL from which you came to our website and the URLs visited on our website. A URL is the full address of a website page, which may contain some personal or identifying information about the person who is viewing it.
Zerorez may occasionally gather personal information to provide you with correspondence or other information, which may include your name, address(es), e-mail address(es), telephone number, etc., when a visitor voluntarily submits the same. Any personal information collected by Zerorez will only be shared within the Zerorez system. The Zerorez system includes Zerorez, our franchisees, our subsidiaries, and our affiliates.
We collect additional information that you choose to give us. For example, you may provide information to us when you complete surveys, sign up for special programs or information dissemination, communicate with us by e-mail, phone or otherwise, provide reviews, or provide alternative personal information
SHARING YOUR INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES
Zerorez will not sell, transfer, or disclose personal information to third parties outside the Zerorez system. Zerorez reserves the right to use or disclose any information as needed to satisfy any law, regulation (specifically any FTC regulation) or legal request, to protect the integrity of the website, to fulfill your requests, or to cooperate in any law enforcement investigation, or an investigation on a matter of public safety. If you direct, we will release customer information to your authorized representative(s) or such other person as you may direct.
Other than as set out above, you will receive notice when information about you might go to third parties, and you will have an opportunity to choose not to share the information.
CHILDREN
This Website is not designed or intended to collect personal information from children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13, and do not use such information if we discover that it is has been provided. To this end, Zerorez strongly encourages all parents to supervise their childrens’ online activities and regularly monitor their childrens’ use of the Internet. Parents should consider using parental control tools and other services to assist them in supervising their childrens’ online use or online disclosure of their name, address, or other personal information without parental consent.
Here are a few tips to help make a child’s online experience safer:
- Teach children never to give out personal information, unless supervised by a parent or responsible adult. This includes their name, address, phone, school, etc.
- Know the websites your children visit and which websites are appropriate.
- Look for website privacy policies. Know how your child’s information is being treated.
COOKIES
To personalize and enhance your browsing and shopping experience, we use a feature on your Internet browser called a “cookie.” Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to an individual’s hard drive for record-keeping purposes. The unique user ID contained within your cookie automatically identifies your computer—but not you—to our servers every time you visit our website. Cookies allow the website to remember important information that will make your use of the website more convenient. Like most websites, zerorez.com or other Zerorez websites use cookies for a variety of purposes in order to improve a visitor’s online experience. For example, we will track the total number of visitors to this website on an anonymous aggregate basis. We may also employ cookies so that we remember you when you return to the website and to help customize your online experience through functions of this website. In such circumstances, we may associate personal information with a cookie.
Use the options in your web browser if you do not wish to receive a cookie or if you wish to set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie. Click on the "Help" section of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences. If you disable all cookies, you may not be able to take advantage of all the features of this website. Current versions of many Web browsers offer enhanced user controls for the placement and duration of cookies. Search for “cookies” under your Web browser’s Help menu for more information on the cookie management features available to you.
We may use cookie and IP address information to count and track website visits in the aggregate, to personalize our website(s) for each unique user, to control the frequency of individual advertisements to individual computers, and to target advertisements and promotions to broad demographic segments. We may also use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our website.
WEB BEACONS
From time to time we contract with third party companies to help us better provide relevant products, services and information to you and to help us effectively measure advertising effectiveness. Some of these companies use cookies and/or Web beacons (also known as action tags or single pixel gifs). A Web beacon is a transparent image that has been placed on a Web page and sends a signal when a user has visited that page. A Web beacon does not contain any personal information. No information that is personally identifiable to you is transmitted to the third party using the Web beacon. The third party is required to protect the privacy of the information it receives using Web beacons or cookies and is not allowed to use the information it receives for any purpose beyond what is necessary to assist us. In addition, we may use Web beacons in connection with the e-mails we send to our customers, to determine whether and when the images in our e-mail were rendered (which allows us to determine whether the e-mail was opened). This information may then be aggregated and used to assess the effectiveness of our e-mail communications.
PIXEL TAGS
We may also collect information through the use of “pixel tags” included in e-mail messages we could send to you. Pixel tags are tiny graphic files, not visible to the human eye, that are included in HTML-encoded email messages. When such a message is opened in an HTML-capable email program, the recipient’s computer will access our server to retrieve the pixel tag file, allowing us to record and store, along with the recipient’s email address, the date and time the recipient viewed the email message, the fact that the recipient’s e-mail program is capable of receiving HTML-encoded email, and other standard logging information. The pixel tag also may see or read cookies.
UNSOLICITED E-MAILS (SPAM)
Your privacy is very important to us. Be assured that, in accordance with this Privacy Policy, we do not sell or distribute our customer list to third parties. You should be aware, however, that unscrupulous marketers can sometimes "harvest" your e-mail address directly from your computer or another person's address book or even obtain your e-mail address through programs that automatically search Web pages and e-mail traffic for e-mail addresses.
DATA SECURITY & LINKED WEBSITES
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Our website(s) may contain links to and from other sites operated and maintained by separate companies. We have no responsibility for linked websites (including the websites of participants in our associate program) and provide these links solely for the convenience and information of our visitors. The privacy policies of these sites may differ from our Privacy Policy, so you should always review the privacy statement of each linked website you visit.
BUSINESS & ACCOUNTING DISCLOSURES
We may also disclose non-personal information to third parties for the purpose of accounting and record keeping. We may also disclose aggregate user data or non-personal information in order to describe our services to prospective business partners, advertisers, and others, but will do so only in a form that does not identify individual users.
OTHER DISCLOSURES
Occasionally we may disclose personal information in other circumstances, but we will only do this if we have explained at the time we collect the information the purpose for which it will be disclosed.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
We may disclose personal information when we deem necessary or appropriate to law enforcement or other entities or third parties as required by law or to protect our rights or the rights of others, to prevent harm to persons or property, to fight fraud, identity theft, or otherwise to comply with the law or legal process, to respond to claims, to protect our systems and customers, to ensure the integrity and operation of our business and systems, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Zerorez and its employees, franchisees or others.
YOUR CONSENT
By using our website (including through our customer service line), you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. As stated above, we reserve the right to modify or amend this policy at any time. Unless we clearly state otherwise, the changes to our Privacy Policy will affect only the information we collect after the effective date of the change.
CHANGES
This Privacy Policy is effective as of November 1, 2015. Zerorez reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at anytime. Please check here periodically for the most up-to-date version of our privacy policy. Rest assured, however, that any changes will not be retroactively applied and will not alter how we handle previously collected information. Should you have other questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, please call us at (866) Zerorez or send us an e-mail at [email protected].
